Description: |
Last year Globe Education created Playground; a Shakespeare themed web area for five to 11 year olds www.shakespearesglobe.com/playground. Playground is designed primarily for young users to access at home. In less than 12 months the free site has become a global leader in the online provision of Shakespeare ‘edutainment’ for children and families.
Playground combines cutting edge technology with innovative entertainment and puts interactive learning at the heart of every digital resource. For example it features the ground breaking new addition: Exploring Shakespeare, an innovative interactive film using the world's first video-taggable tool, WireWAX. www.shakespearesglobe.com/explore
The cutting edge digital film encourages viewers to click away from the narrative to explore points of interest without ever leaving the platform. The live action footage is combined with layers of touchable interactive content, including arcade-style games and multiple-choice quizzes from Believe Creative, brand new animations from Persistent Peril and extra film content. |
